Timeline: After 'Springing the Trap (Part 1)
Previously, on Star Trek: Ermiana:
The viewscreen changed to the image of a rather displeased Cardassian man. "What are you doing here Starfleet? Why do our sensors show you as Cardassian?!" he demanded straight away leaving out any form of pleasantries.
Mikoto stood up from her chair and took a couple of steps forward. "I am Captain Mikoto Misaka of the Federation Starship Ermiana. And you are?"
"Gul Lakot. Now answer my question!"
And now, the continuation:
Mikoto sighed. "We are attempting to lure out the Maquis. More specifically the group that now has the Starship Bismarck in their control." she replied simply.
"An unlikely story." Lakot snapped back. "You're helping the Maquis. Why would you be here at a supply depot, posing as a Cardassian ship?" he asked. A moment of silence fell on the conversation. "I can tell you why! You pose as a Cardassian ship, so that Starfleet and The Federation can't be caught supplying the Maquis!"
"I assure you thats not the case." Mikoto replied. "Now, you tell me why you're here..."
"My orders are to hunt down any Maquis terrorists we come across on our patrol. The transmission we picked up stating that a Cardassian ship was in combat with the Maquis led me here." He said. "For we protect our own. Yet here we find a Federation Starship, posing as one of ours, over a known supply depot."
"Its not how it seems..." Mikoto replied. "If we can just talk this over..."
"I will not allow the Federation to arm the Maquis! That is against the treaty! Goodbye Captain!" The viewscreen shut off. A few seconds later the Ermiana shook as the Cardassian ship opened fire. The lights on the Ermiana bridge switched from the standard Yellow Alert status they were at to Red Alert. The klaxons wailed as the ship shook again from another barrage of phaser fire from the Cardassian warship.
"So much for the element of surprise!" Eila grumbled as she held onto her chair.
[Sickbay]
Down in Medical, the situation was all hands. As the ship took fire, people were struck, sometimes from falling debris and sometimes from being in the wrong corridor at the wrong moment and getting tossed off their feet. The tiny Vissian was now stood on a stool, bent over a poor Petty Officer, who'd gotten a blow to the head from a piece of metal that had gone flying from impact.
"Alright, you'll be ok. Luckily, it was just a surface wound," she said, wielding the dermal regenerator in her left hand. Her right hand was busy working the controls on the biobed, raising it to a level where she could SEE. Being only 5'1" made her job a bit harder.
So far it had been minor injuries that were coming through the doors; mostly, it was just items and byproduct of being on a floating city in the middle of space, with everything powered up and ready to ignite it seemed. Felicie was directing everyone around to where they needed to go, and jumping in when there needed to be extra hands in the triaging. The sooner they helped everyone the faster they had room for the next person injured.
Feeva jumped down off the biobed carefully, then brought it to a more comfortable position for the occupant. Over the top of the bed, she spoke. "Alright. We'll keep you for observation, but I think you'll be free to go this evening," she said, before turning it over to the medic to finish processing. She moved on to the next patient. She wondered if high-heeled shoes were a thing that the Fleet would allow. She'd probably trip and break her leg, though.
While there was still a steady stream of injured making their way to Sickbay, they were quickly able to assess, triage and move them along. The other areas were now converted and operating as intake, triage, and transfer. The beauty of having this large medical complex on the ship is that they had the ability of throughput. A yeoman came up to Felicie in the middle of performing an exam and showed her the numbers from the aid stations across the ship. "Keep the minor cases there, send everyone else here or Drive Sickbay."
[Bridge]
"OK, that's more than enough." Misaka said. "Return fire with phasers. Aim for their weapons array." She ordered.
The Ermiana opened fire upon the Cardassian ship, it's bright orange phasers striking their shields. Then without warning another Starship seemed to appear between the Ermiana and the Cardassian ship.
"Hold your fire!" Misaka said quickly as she rose a hand up.
There in between them was the USS Bismarck.
"Hail that ship and split screen with the Cardassian Cruiser." Misaka said. The viewscreen changed to that of Captain Edasaki and Gul Lakot.
"Sorry for barging in..." Edasaki said. "Captain Misaka I presume?" She said addressing Misaka directly.
"That's me. What's going on here Captain?" Misaka asked.
"It's a... long and interesting story." Edasaki stated simply. She then looked over to Lakot. "I have the crew of a Cardassian ship on board. They've been useful in getting us here."
"Did you destroy their ship?!" Lakot demanded.
Edasaki shook her head. "The Mquis used this ship to take one of yours. Luckily they were kind enough to beam the crew over first. It seems that you have a bigger problem out here than you originally thought."
Misaka raised an eyebrow. This was going to make an interesting story. "Captain Edasaki. What of your crew?"
"Once the Maquis 'acquired' the Cardassian Cruiser. A considerable upgrade to the Bismarck, we discovered the location of my crew. I will need to go get them." Edasaki explained. Misaka felt relief upon hearing that the Bismarcks crew were safe.
"Captain. I'll send over some personnel to help with the running of your ship." She then turned to Lakot. "And we will transfer your people to your ship. I would suggest you let your superiors know that a Cardassian Warship is now in the hands of the Maquis. I'm sure that Starfleet will have something to say about that..."
The screen cut off and Misaka turned to Eila. "I want you to oversee the transfer of Personnel to the Bismarck." She told her. "Stand down red alert."
"Aye, Captain." Eila nodded, standing up from her seat. She too was visibly relieved that the Bismarck's crew were safe, but the fact that the Maquis were still out there now in possession of a Cardassian cruiser was still worrying.
There were personnel on board who had previously been aboard Centaur class ships, and Eila would select those people first to transfer over. From there, it would be a matter of assigning the likes of tertiary personnel who normally worked weird shifts.
Misaka have her a nod. "As soon as the Bismarck is secure, I want to talk to Captain Edasaki in my ready room." She walked over to her ready room leaving the bridge.
Eila took the nod from Misaka as her cue to leave the bridge and organize the crew to beam over. As she made her way to the turbolift, she glanced in Lurath's directions.
"Mister Lurath, you have the bridge." She nodded as she stepped into the turbolift.
