Mission: The Search
Location: Sickbay

Roughly an hour after the meeting, the doors of the Ermiana's sickbay swished open. Through them walked Captain Misaka, a rather concerning look on her face. She had come down to see how Lieutenant Ezazzan was doing, as her senior chief of operations she wanted to get a more, personal status update on him.

Misaka gave her a polite nod. "How is he doing?" She asked, concern in her voice.

Feeva stood nearby, waiting for Felice to finish her work. Feeva had been repairing a young man's wounds, but had finished and let him go. She smiled at the Captain. "Ma'am," she said. "I assume you're here to see Ezazzan?" She asked, and indicated the Gorn's biobed. "He's doing alright," she said, nodding, and then turning her small frame around. "If you need me, I'll be in the supply room. We need to refill hyposprays."

Misaka nodded. "Yeah. I feel responsible for putting him in such a situation." She explained.

Kromal Ezazzan, lying on a biobed surrounded by medical equipment, slowly turned his head towards the entrance as he heard the familiar swish of the doors. The medbay was quiet, save for the occasional beeping of monitors and the soft hum of medical devices. The lighting was dimmed to promote a restful environment.

"Captain Misaka," Kromal greeted, her voice a low, raspy whisper. "It's... good to see you." He attempted a faint smile, though the effort clearly caused her some discomfort.

"At ease," Misaka said in a soft voice giving him a small smile of reassurance. She approached slowly. "It's probably a stupid question, but how are you feeling?"

Feeva watched carefully. Kromal seemed ok, and she was able to relax a little. It would be ok.

"I am managing well," Kromal replied. "When can I get back to duty?"

Feeva chuckled. "Not for at least 24 hours," she said. "Dr. Giehl, don't you think?" She asked. The petite redhead shook her head. "You need to rest and heal."

Kromal shifted slightly on the biobed, trying to find a comfortable position. His eyes, though tired, held a determined glint as he faced Captain Misaka. "I appreciate your concern, Captain," he said, his voice still raspy but carrying a tone of gratitude. "I understand the need for rest, even if it’s difficult to accept."

He looked over at Dr. Giehl, who was attending to some final tasks nearby. "I’ll follow the medical team's advice, of course. But I trust that if there are any developments or if I’m needed sooner, you'll let me know?"

Kromal’s gaze returned to Misaka. "I’m eager to get back to contributing to the mission, but I also don’t want to rush my recovery and risk further complications. Thank you for checking in. Your support means a lot during this time."

He tried to offer a reassuring smile, despite the discomfort. "Is there anything specific you need from me while I’m here? Or any updates on the situation that I should be aware of?"

"Your only orders are to get better." Misaka said.

Felicie wrapped up what she was working on and moved over to where everyone was standing. Right as she was about to answer before, she got pulled off to the side and had to deal with that first before she would be able to come back to the group. After waiting for the time for the Captain to finish speaking, she spoke up. "Yes, at least another day of observation. Everything goes well, I'd recommend light duty. That could last anywhere from a day to a week depending on how you feel. I don't want you to over do it and push yourself back to where you were previously."

Feeva simply nodded her agreement, and then turned away to finish her work.

"Don't push yourself too hard," Misaka stated simply. "You may be a Gorn, but you're still an officer. Do as the doctors say OK."

"Yes, please," Felicie smiled warmly.

Feeva piped up. "His vitals are maintaining. If he can keep that up for awhile, I can release you tomorrow," she said. She was confident in that. "Stay hydrated, and REST," the small woman said.

Misaka nodded in agreement. "Only leave sickbay once you've been cleared." She told him. "You took one hell of a beating down there, and even though we have some of the best medical facilities in the fleet; I'm not risking it." she told him a hint of sterness and authority in her voice.

With that said she turned on a heel and began to make her way over towards the doors that led out of sickbay. She stopped briefly and looked over her shoulder before she left. "Get better soon Lieutenant. Remember what I said."

With that said she was gone, leavig the lieutenant to rest in sickbay. Now it was a waiting game. Their plan to lure out he Bismarck could take anything from a few hours to a few days.
